The new Testo 870-1 Thermal Imager is designed to provide competition to the entry level cameras of other manufacturers; and while it does do this, it also includes some features that set it apart from the entry level market.

Heads Up! Fluke’s CNX wireless system for Fluke Thermal Imagers and specialized test and measurement meters is here. This technology basically provides a system for linking a comprehensive network of measurement devices wirelessly and then analyzing the data with a CNX software equipped computer. Here is a basic setup for a home electrical inspection.

This new technology is essentially a way to link up a comprehensive network of measurement devices wirelessly and then analyze the data remotely from a computer equipped with the specialized software. We can all start to see that thermal imaging cameras are becoming the new standard for home inspectors and contractors by providing the functions of several devices simultaneously and with much greater efficiency. This is my final entry on Flir’s new line of thermal imaging camera – the FLIR T600. This bad boy falls into the “performance” category for cameras and is a great intersection of price and features. Hello to all. This is my post on the final entry in Flir’s new point-and-shoot line – the Flir E8. I actually had an opportunity to spend some hands on time with this particular camera a couple weeks before launch and it is awesome. The MSX technology that was previously included only on the ultra-expensive FLIR models is now standard on all their cameras and it looks great.
