FLIR keeps topping the game with exciting new technologies and their extensive research and development focus, which gives rise to better and more affordable tools, like the Flir TG165 IR Imaging Thermometer.

The Flir E40bx, E50bx, and E60bx are no longer manufactured.

Those of you in the thermography field may already be familiar with the Flir E40, Flir E50, and Flir E60 and their wide assortment of useful and exciting features like Wi-Fi connection to the FLIR Tools Mobile App for reporting and monitoring, Bluetooth connection to Extech or FLIR METERLiNK test equipment, and interchangeable lenses. However, these FLIR E-series cameras now include MSX, or multi-Spectral Dynamic Imaging.

Flir E8 is no longer manufactured.

Flir E5 is no longer in production.

The Flir i3, i5, and i7 Infrared Cameras have been disontinued.

I was involved recently in a meeting with the fine folks at FLIR and something that came up was the subject of IR thermometers or “spot guns”. Now most of you in the field are probably very familiar with these devices but some good talking points arose regarding why, if you want to increase your efficiency and long term money making potential, you should basically throw your spot gun in the garbage and pick up a point and shoot thermal imager like the Flir i3.
