Bacharach Monoxor Plus Carbon Monoxide Analyzer Review
Every year we are reminded that Carbon Monoxide is a dangerous toxic by hearing news reports of people dying or getting sick and ending up in the hospital. Today I will be giving a brief review of the Bacharach Monoxor Plus Carbon Monoxide Analyzer. With this instrument, you can measure ambient CO as well as take direct flue measurements of CO in furnaces, gas appliances, or commercial boilers. The Bacharach 0019-8117 Monoxor Plus uses a B-Smart Sensor that can be user replaced which saves time and money as your instrument never has down time. The measurements range on the Carbon Monoxide Sensor is 0-2,000 parts per million (ppm). The LCD graphical display shows changes in CO in 1ppm increments and has a CO alarm that can be user adjusted to make sure you are not exposed to dangerous amounts of CO while working. Bacharach also offers a kit version, 0019-8118, that will include an IR Printer and PC software so you can print results right on site or transfer the data to a computer and generate a detailed report for the client. Bacharach stands by these products with a 2 year warranty on the instrument as well as the CO sensor.
I am a little curious though, how often when you are on a job site, do customers stick around and talk with you while you are working? I find myself to be a very curious person and end up talking with any technicians I have at my house. Any technicians out there, do you find this to be irritating or is it a nice change of pace to explain a little of what you do?
Cheers and Happy Testing,
-Sam
