This new technology is essentially a way to link up a comprehensive network of measurement devices wirelessly and then analyze the data remotely from a computer equipped with the specialized software. I’ll go ahead and give you a run down of a sample chain of meters with a camera.

Hey all. We can all start to see that thermal imaging cameras are becoming the new standard for home inspectors and contractors by providing the functions of several devices simultaneously and with much greater efficiency. However, until recently, getting a quality image that would help you locate the problems in a home or building (let alone display this information for customers) was very cost prohibitive.

UEi Instruments Smart Bell Plus Combustion Analyzer

One of the many things I hear about Combustion Analyzers is they are too expensive. While I may disagree, I do understand that for many people spending $1200 or more on a premium combustion analyzer is not within their budget constraints. Being able to squeeze as many features into their purchase without breaking the bank is a tough balance. Everyone wants the full color display with the touch screen and Bluetooth but sometimes, it’s just not in the cards.

This is my final entry on Flir’s new line of thermal imaging camera – the FLIR T600. This bad boy falls into the “performance” category for cameras and is a great intersection of price and features. As the name implies, the price and functionality of this camera fall somewhere between the T440 and the T620.

Hello to all. This is my post on the final entry in Flir’s new point-and-shoot line – the Flir E8. I actually had an opportunity to spend some hands on time with this particular camera a couple weeks before launch and it is awesome. The MSX technology that was previously included only on the ultra-expensive FLIR models is now standard on all their cameras and it looks great.

Welcome back. The Flir E6 is next up on our list of new Flir cameras. As I’m sure you have guessed by now, the Flir E6 also features MSX technology, Flir’s awesome new invention that etches visible light details onto thermal images. Long story short, it looks awesome and makes for very detailed reporting.

Hello again. The next camera in Flir’s new line is the E5. As you might expect the E5 is similar to the E4 I detailed last time with some notable upgrades. As far as similarities, the Flir E5 also includes MSX technology, as all of FLIR’s new cameras do, which performs real-time etching of visible light details onto thermograms, producing stunning results (see image at right).

Hello all let's talk about the Flir E4. This is the first in a series taking a look at the new line of thermal imagers out today from FLIR and they are awesome. The biggest thing that everyone will be talking about when these cameras release is the addition of MSX, Multi-spectral Dynamic Imaging, to all of FLIR’s cameras, including the E4.
