Today I will be reviewing the TSI 5825 DP-Calc Micromanometer. The base unit starts with measuring differential as well as static pressures from -15” - +15” H2O.

The TSI 5825 can also be used in conjunction with a Pitot tube to calculate and display the Velocity. The large digital display is crisp and the information is very clear to read.

Other features of the TSI 5825 DP-Calc Micromanometer include Flow Calculation, Statistics, Data logging up to 12,700 samples and includes the LogDat2 Downloading Software. The applications for this device include but are not limited to, HVAC Troubleshooting, Duct balancing, Pressure Drop Measurement, and Air flow testing.

TSI products boast a great accuracy and the TSI 5825 DP-Calc  is no exception at 1% and 1.5% for pressure and velocity respectively. This handheld unit clocks in at around 0.6 lbs and will be a nuisance to lug around the job site. If you are looking for a tool that can handle the everyday pressure testing you need but also accomplishes a few other tasks, this is something I would strongly consider. When considering TSI products, does the NIST Calibration Certificate that is provided by TSI at purchase become a factor in your decision?
