Today I am reviewing the Mastercool 52300 Thermal Imaging Camera. The Mastercool 52300 is designed to measure temperatures from -4 °F to 482 °F (-20 °C to 250 °C) while displaying these temperatures as thermal images on a 2.8” display. The Mastercool 52300 Thermal Imaging Camera is great for tire contact and wear diagnostics, brake and engine system evaluation for performance and cooling, faulty fuel injection nozzles, faulty wheel bearings, proper fluid temperatures – static, full, and load, rear differential temperatures, AC liquid gas lines and hose analysis, turbo chargers and catalytic converters, evaporators, condensers, and radiators for proper heat exchange, home inspection/home improvement, outdoor recreation, contractors, HVAC, and electrical. 

The Mastercool 52300 Thermal Imaging Camera is very easy to use with auto focusing, accurate measurements, 2.8” colored and backlit display, image reporting software, and micro SD card storage capable of storing up to 25,000 images per gigabyte. The Mastercool 52300 has a thermal image resolution of 32 x 31 pixels and 40 x 40 degree field of view. The Mastercool 52300 Thermal Imaging Camera runs off x4 AA batteries with roughly 6 hours of runtime.

Using the Mastercool 52300 is simple point and shoot operation with intuitive controls.  The Mastercool 52300 includes the Mastercool 52300, carrying case, 8 GB micro SD card, CD, USB cord, batteries, and instructions. The most fantastic thing about this thermal imaging camera is certainly its price range. The Mastercool 52300 may not have all the bells and whistles that models that are more expensive have, but it still provides the user with accurate thermal images with very simple operation. If you have always wanted to own and use a thermal imaging camera without spending at or above $1,000, this is certainly a good buy.
