Hey all. We can all start to see that thermal imaging cameras are becoming the new standard for home inspectors and contractors by providing the functions of several devices simultaneously and with much greater efficiency. However, until recently, getting a quality image that would help you locate the problems in a home or building (let alone display this information for customers) was very cost prohibitive. The advent of MSX imaging on FLIR’s complete line of cameras, including the FLIR E5, makes lower cost models a great option for getting the job done.

First off you can easily locate the problem areas with FLIR E5’s MSX, as you can see with the air leak identification in the image at right. The enhanced detail makes it a breeze to find air leaks, missing insulation, malfunctioning electrical equipment, moisture intrusion and a variety of other building maintenance issues.
