There are many options for analyzing medical gases for research, laboratory, processing or incubation. Today I will be going over a few of the options that Viasensor offers in this category. Viasensor’s analyzers are small handheld units that are simple to operate. They have a clear display that has large easy to read digits. Each unit comes in a hard case that is lined with foam to ensure safety during transit. The units themselves are all very similar and are divided into different series depending on the needs of the customer. I will go over a few specific models and explain what each model measures.

The first series is the Viasensor G100 series CO2 Incubator Analyzers. These analyzers were built with the Incubation Analysis industry in mind. The base unit, Viasensor G100-00N measures CO2 from 0-20% using a dual wavelength infrared sensor. This unit can be upgraded to measure O2 (0-100%) and Relative Humidity as well. The unit can store roughly 1,000 sets of readings. The Viasensor G100-10N is the same as the Viasensor G100-00N except it does add the O2 sensor. This sensor is an electrochemical cell and has an estimated lifespan of 3 years depending on exposure. Both of these units have a great accuracy range of ± 1% depending on the conditions inside the incubator.

The other series I will be reviewing is the Viasensor G110 CO2 Analyzers. Like the G100, the base unit, Viasensor G110-00N, measures only CO2 except this has a range of 0-100%. The Viasensor G110-11N is the fully upgraded unit in this series and can measure CO2 and O2 both from 0-100% It also adds the Relative Humidity option and includes a 15mm diameter RH Probe.

Both of these series of Viasensor Analyzers come standard with a Battery Charger, Operation Manual, Hard Carrying Case, and a Sample Tube Kit. Viasensor does have a list of spare components and options available as well. These include items like extra moisture filter replacements, Soda Lime Kit, as well as the different Temp probes and RH probes. All in all, these are very nice analyzers and the support staff at Viasensor is very friendly to boot.

Cheers and Happy Testing,
