Measuring and recording Earth Ground Resistance is important to maintain an electrical system. The Amprobe GP-2A Earth Ground Resistance Tester is one such device that can handle these tests. Having poor grounding can lead to premature equipment failure and extended downtime which can be quite costly to a company’s operations. The handheld unit is lightweight (2.2lbs) features an easy to read display and has a simple to navigate menu system. Included with your purchase are a carrying case, the test lead set, and 4 ground stakes that you will need to run all of the tests.
The GP-2A is auto ranging and can hold up to 999 different readings / measurements. Software is available on Amprobe’s website to be able to download these records and create professional looking reports for the job you are working on. Earth Ground Resistance can be measured using the 3 point (fall of potential) or the 2 point test methods. Likewise, the Ground Resistivity is automatically calculated via the 4 point test process.
How often is the ground resistance being checked on your operation? Is an Earth Ground Resistance Tester something you are looking to purchase this year?
