There is a built in analog tone generator as well as the ability to get cable length, distances to opens, and Hub Blink. The Ideal Industries VDV Pro is the highest feature model and it can enable you to test for PoE detection, Phone service detection and Ethernet Detection. It also includes TDR functionality for super accurate readings for finding faults and cable length. The R158003 is the real deal and has tons of features you are not going to get from other meters.
