The Fluke Ti90 and Ti95 Infrared Cameras have been discontinued. Please check out Fluke Thermal Imaging Cameras HERE.

Hello all. This week we’ll have a look at the new line of Fluke cameras (Fluke Ti90 and Fluke Ti95) that make use of the new Fluke Connect Wireless app and are the only infrared cameras in the price class that offer any kind of wireless communication. Let’s have a quick look at the specs and then a glance at the wireless capabilities.

The cameras have a solidly competitive resolution in the price range – the Ti90 coming in at 80x60 and the Ti95 at a slightly larger 80x80. The real time results are displayed on a bright and sharp 3.5” LCD screen. These new cameras also feature the best spatial resolution in their price class (5.6 mRad), up to 84% better than some of the competitors. Spatial resolution, for those who don’t know, is the ability of the detector to spatially discriminate objects in the field. This is largely a function of the overall resolution but is also affected by factors like fill factor of the array or diffraction limits. In English, the Fluke camera has a similar overall resolution to cameras in this price class but can make increased distinction between objects in feel; so - clearer images. The thermal sensitivities of the cameras are 150mK and 100mK for the Ti90 and Ti95 respectively. I’ve written about this feature at length before, but essentially the lower the mK value, the smaller differences in temperature the camera is able to detect which once again equals clearer imaging.

Now let’s take a look at some the wireless features that make this new line exciting. First off, the cameras include and house two SD cards. One card is a standard 8GB and the other is the FlukeConnect enabled 8GB card, the data on which can be streamed wirelessly to your colleagues. The app includes a feature called ShareLive which allows simultaneous streaming of various cameras and meters, so the whole team can be kept abreast of all the inspections and potential repairs. This allows you to get approval without having to leave the job site and lets multiple parties weigh in on the decisions. The feature called EquipmentLog allows values to be stored and organized by asset, allowing analysis of particular targets over time. And as implied before, you can link all the data form other FlukeConnect meters to your thermal images, giving a more complete picture that includes moisture and electrical readings.
