Portable Megohmmeters are not your everyday item, but when dealing with high voltages you want to err on the side of caution. The AEMC 6550 and AEMC 6555 Portable Megohmmeters test DC voltages up to 10,000 and 15,000 respectively. These units come built into a rugged IP54 rated case that can handle the rumble and tumble of the everyday real world environment you work in. Both units offer live measurement of voltage to be sure you are working under safe conditions. The AEMC 6550AEMC 6555 Megohmmeters offer testing at fixed voltage, ramp voltage, and step voltage. Test results can be displayed on the LCD screen with graphical analysis or stored for later transfer for use with the software. The AEMC 6550 / AEMC 6555 Megohmmeter can store up to 80,000 measurements, which is basically overkill. Additionally, the use of the Early Break test, Break at I-limit, and Burn mode allow for full testing parameters for your desired use.

There are many applications for these AEMC 6550 / AEMC 6555 Megohmmeters. Preventative maintenance and acceptance tasting are the primary uses for these meters. They can also be used for continuity checks, motor insulation resistance measuring, and checking electrical wiring installs.

Cheers and Happy Testing,
